Russia is waging total war on Ukraine. Other countries have been supplying arms under the premise of self defense, but the idea that one side of a war isn't allowed to be aggressive is straight up propaganda.
The "peace talks" that are coming are going to involve total surrender of Russian claimed land on Ukraine's part.
Somehow augmenting Russian defense forces with foreign armies is just poor old Russia reacting to a sucker punch while augmenting Ukraine's is tantamount to starting ww3.
The idea that Ukraine can't use foreign aid to strike back only really makes sense if you believe Ukraine owes Russia land in the first place. I want a free and unthreatened Ukraine, as what I desire for all people of any nation. I want professional solderers to be able to function happily without war.
Ukraine is not free and there are people who only have only learned to function in war, allowing functioning broken men only to be comfortable in the intermittent terror of war is not good, but acceptable when war is an uncomfortable truth of our reality.
I want peace.
I don't want men to find comfort in war.
The reality of the human condition is to find comfort no matter how hard the circumstance.
I hope PMCs will provide a future free of war and the personal terrors that war creates with a voluntary sacrifice nobody should have, but I know that is an Eden that is fanciful.
