Removed Comment It's not just poor reading skills, but the hyper partisan tribalism that developed and a near religious obsession with arbitrary things like masks by @freeindv@monyet.cc

Removed Comment They were honest the first time. Widespread mask use does nothing to curb the spread of respiratory illness. Then a weird religion popped up declaring masks as their headdress, and the CDC joined it by @freeindv@monyet.cc

Removed Comment The worst part about it is that we HAVE disproved mask mandates. After years of them enacted across entire populations, like state wide mandates, we have more than enough examples to show that long term the effect on spread was absolute zero. Just look at the CDC study this very article links to in order to see how bad the "proof" is on a population level. They cherry pick a specific period of time in a specific place, and compare places with mask mandates to those without. With the timing lined up just right where the places with mandates had just gotten out of a HUGE surge, while the places without were just getting hit with the traveling wave. Removed Comment From personal experience, aggression is not always a controlled action. I'm a lot better than I used to be, but I have injured myself over things that tipped me over mentally. These reactions were not at all calculated. Again from experience, I personally agree that programs do little to reduce violent tendencies. For me, it was medication. I have ASD, and a whole bunch of other things under the personality disorder umbrella. The key is I am aware of my shortfalls and found the solution which works for me. I have never faked my anger and often hide it. In the past, I would explode. Never on anyone, just myself. Or walls now, I still hide it, but because of my medication I do get to control how I react, which is usually to just go somewhere else, and if I can't do that, I go away into my thoughts by reric88🧩
